New NACCC Association, Corporation Secretary

Sherry Glab is a woman who can do, and does do, everything! She grew up in the plains of Nebraska before moving to sunny Southern California in 1968. Sherry is a long-time Congregationalist, and has been active at all levels of the Congregational Way.

She began her involvement in the local church. At St. Paul’s Church in Claremont, she was involved in everything from "cleaning toilets to preaching the sermon." When St. Paul’s closed in 1990, Sherry moved her energy, boundless enthusiasm, and multiple talents to Pilgrim Congregational Church. Here she has served nearly every office of Women’s Auxiliary including president, on the boards of Outreach and trustees, and was Pilgrim’s moderator in 1999. She has served as church parliamentarian for ten years. When she isn’t serving or voting, she is apt to be preparing a gourmet dinner for some group at the church, singing in the choir, or directing the church’s two bell choirs.

Sherry has also been a leader in the Cal West Association, serving on their Board of Directors, serving as Parliamentarian, and on numerous committees. She was the moderator of Cal West in 1989. Nationally, she has served on the Women’s Commission and the Church Services Commission.

Her activities spill into the community. She is a member of the Eastern Star and the National Association of Parliamentarians. Currently she serves as Parliamentarian of the Pomona Inland Valley Council of Churches, and is very proud to be a member of the Foundation Board for Citrus College. She has retired from selling microwave antennas and towers, one of the first women salespeople in the business. She has a speciality in designing and serving formal teas which have become legendary in the area for groups of all sizes.

She is clearly well prepared for the position of Association and Corporation Secretary.
